A group of people who are passionate. professional. enthusiastic. community minded.
In affiliation with Rotary International, Rotary Club of Andover (RCA) is a group of passionate business and professional members who coordinate our collective experience, career skills and enthusiasm to improve our community through meaningful service projects. It sounds all too familiar, but having fun while doing those things is the ARC differentiator. After all, nobody said making a difference couldn’t be fun. We meet the first three Thursdays of the month (and the fifth Thursday when there is one), 12:00 noon, at Terradyne Country Club in Andover. We share a delicious buffet lunch together while having an informative program, usually with a guest speaker from the community.
To date, RCA has raised thousands of dollars towards matching the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s $300 million gift to Rotary International to eliminate Polio (been working on it since the ’80’s and we’ve almost got it knocked out now). We were on the ground floor of the new Andover Public Library, we've given personalized books to Kindergartners in the Andover school district, we packaged over 50,000 meals for Haitian famine relief, we’ve been an integral contributor to the Andover Hometown Christmas program, we continue to deliver library books and materials to seniors and disabled patrons who cannot physically come to the library, and most recently we've helped make the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program of Butler and Sedgwick county become a reality.
We’re always searching for new and genuine friends who want to join in and refuse to sit on the sideline. We know personal schedules can be very busy, so we strive to remain respectful of them. Without contributing to life’s complexities, RCA wants you, your skills, experience, passion to serve, and all your uniqueness to become part of a vibrant and successful service-based organization through good times participation that doesn’t revolve around perfect attendance. And why not be a part of that?
