PHOTOS: SCARF Work Day

Members of the Andover Rotary Club recently participated in a work day to help upgrade the facilities of the Sunlight Children's Advocacy and Rights Foundation. The group operates a Children's Home east of Andover, and has been working to erect an iron fence that will surround the facility.

Alva Talks Business, Personal Safety Online

ANDOVER - Keeping yourself save in both your personal and business activities online was the focus of Thursday's weekly meeting of the Andover Rotary Club. Sam Alva, owner of 3Delta Security talked about not only his current business, but his years of security work during his time in the United States Military.

District Governor Visits Andover Club

The Andover Rotary Club held an unusual fourth meeting of the month in July - but for good reason, as District Governor Dean Kennedy was in town to visit. In addition to his meeting with the Rotarians, he also held a short visit with the Board of Directors to visit about the upcoming year.

Kennedy gave a general discussion about Rotary, and said that his goal is for every Rotarian to dream and in turn accomplish our dreams.

We are a group of like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference in our community and have fun while serving others. We meet on the first and second Thursdays of the month at Butler Community College in Andover, Kansas. We share a delicious buffet lunch together while having an informative program, usually with a guest speaker from the community.
