



The Andover Central Kindness Club was one of the recipients for the Rotary Club of Andover Mini Grant. The Club is located at the Andover Central High School and ranges from freshman to seniors. They currently have 22 members. The Club used the funds from their grant to purchase fleece and created 23 fleece blankets that they donated to the Salvation Army to benefit the homeless. The Club presented the process they went through to make the blankets and how impactful the project was to everyone in their Club.
Melani Kliewer and Susan Harsh from Rainbows United spoke today about the services they provide to the community. We also discussed the Rainbows Run happening in Augusta on May 4th.
On Thursday, July 13th Chief of Police Mike Keller spoke to the Club to give an update about the Andover Police Department. Before his presentation, he had the privilege of presenting a check in the amount of $7,299 from the City of Andover. This check was from the involvement the Club had during the Clint Black Summer Concert. The Rotary Club of Andover served beer during the concert. These funds will be used to help support local organizations and projects in the Andover area.
